My legs are feeling the workout! I have to admit though, the yoga yesterday did help my muscles. I felt ready to go today and I pushed through. The resistance from the bands were felt on each exercise. It's only day 5 yet I feel better again as I am watching my food intake, following the food guide they provided and just giving everything I have in the workouts. I was reading a few of the testimonials of some folks that have started this 90 day journey too and a post on there said day 4 and really didn't see any difference. That just tells me that he is not following the daily food plan. You can workout like a crazy person, but if you go and stuff yourself all day with junk, well then you are just wasting your time and fat wins out. It's not rocket science, eating the right amount of fats, proteins and carbs throughout the day will give you the burn on food your body is craving. Your in this I hope to make a lifestyle change, not just do it for 90 days and then go back to your bad habits. This is your kick-start in life, so go after it with a vengeance and keep racing for life! ;) DON'T TAPOUT!!! BURN BABY BURN- Day 5

Day 4- Yoga XT - I am not one for doing Yoga. I did bootcamp yoga once and it was ok, but still slow and that is the part I have to learn to just go with it because I know my muscles need that good stretch to further enhance my flexibility. As I sat in church today I felt my muscles talking to me as I would stand up and sit down. That is an awesome feeling though as it makes you know you are doing something good for your body! ;) Thanks again to De and Catie as they did the yoga with me! ;) I lost my head!

But, with my workout partners there they kept me going because I knew they were feeling it just as much as I was! ;) They are a little camera shy so they didn't want to be on video but they did awesome!! ;) It looks like tomorow might be just a little easier with yoga xt! Something I have never done so will be interesting! Almost but didn't TapouT!!! ;)

YOUR MOMENT!

Today as I watched the finale from Biggest Loser, I taped it, don't much care for commercials.;) I loved to see the transformations. But something came to me as Allison kept saying,"this moment". As we set our goals that is what we want to see at the end, that moment. Those small moments that lead up to the victory of the fight. Those moments that we build upon to increase our chances in life to live longer, to be stronger to be always in those moments. I am so proud of our April Client of the month at Brenda's BootCamp, De Simpson as she had a stellar month and has now taken on a new challenge for the next 8 weeks starting May 7th, she joined TACTIX! Now if you have ever did the workout you know that it is one of the best workouts out there. It is a workout that challenges every muscle and fiber in your entire body. It's a workout like no other and you can only get it at Brenda's BootCamp. I promise to have photos of the this round of Tactix from group to individuals and partners! I may even get to talk them into get some video footage! ;) It's just alot of fun too and it is one of my favorite workouts. De has handed off her Client of the Month to Cindy Amos for the month of May. Cindy has been with me for over 2 years and although she hasn't dropped tons of weight, lost incredible inches, she has done one thing that gave her this title for the month and that is determination. She is 58 years of age with a drive to make a difference in her life!
Cindy,Betty and Me, pictured here. Her and Betty are the two ladies that get partnered up when we do boxing, or other partner exercises because they have created a friendship simply by being the same as far as showing us younger ones that it doesn't matter what age you are if you want to live longer, then you invest in yourself and you simply do it! I am so proud of Cindy! She won 3rd place in our CCC challenge last month too, which was awesome and spoke volumes for where she is in journey. We are set up to do a video interview tomorrow so look for that as I will post it on our main website. ;) The older ladies are taking it to the house now, 3rd month in a row they have held the Client Of The Month title! YOU GO LADIES!! :) I just get a feeling of joy for them because it's not as easy for them to workout, to get up in the mornings and come and move those muscles, however, it has helped them in so many areas of their lives. Just so blessed to have them be a part of my bootcamp and have other people join and meet them knowing they will get inspired! I want to take a moment and welcome back Lori Fulks. She was with me in the beginning when we started out in the fire station 3 and half years ago. She had some injuries come up outside of bootcamp and had to bow out for awhile. Now though she is back and we will take small steps, small moments, and build her back up to the greatest victories of her journey! ;) So glad to have you back Lori! ;) As we are getting into May already I am excited to create some new workouts for both bootcamp and tactix. I am looking forward to all the transformations that will take place in just 4 to 8 weeks. If you want to be a part of a unique journey and change your lifestyle then you want to give me a call and I guarantee we will give you the results you are striving to have! Remember, it's your moment- make it a great one!!! ;)

IT'S YOUR CHOICE

As I prepare to write this blog I am taken back to some things in my life that have led to this moment. Are you ever just sitting there and wondering if your in the right place? Do you feel joy or sadness when you think about it? I feel joy and I will tell you why. I have surrounded myself with positive forces. I do a daily email for my members of Brenda's BootCamp and they hear about positive thinking many times over because I feel it is the one thing in life that will ensure your success! It is your choice to be where you are. If you feel sadness when you think of where you are then change. Make a choice to get up, take one step at a time and move forward. No one is better than anyone else. Every person alive puts their pants on the same way, one leg at a time, unless of course you have tight ole jeans you have to lay on the bed and put two legs in at once. :P You get my point though. As you look around ask yourself, why am I where I am? How can I change my situation? There are so many avenues out there that you can turn to and use resources and so much support once you make a decision to better your life, whether its spiritual, mental, physical or financial. Someone has been where your at. Trust me when I say this. As a personal trainer I enjoy every one of my clients. They have one thing in common. They want a different and better lifestyle. They might come in wanting to lose weight, but as they get further into the bootcamp they realize it's so much more than that. This brings me to our client of the month for April 2012.
De Simpson(she is pictured here, closest to you, running with Cindy and Betty) is 55 years old and for years she has battled with her weight as alot of folks do. I would say she carries her weight well though, you would never guess on the outside it bothered her because she has such a great smile and a wonderful aura about her, making her a beautiful person. She had heard about my bootcamp through people at church, seen signs around town and one day she just got the courage to come in and give it a try. I didn't get to meet her that first workout but when I did I knew she would do great things and her goals would be met. She only started a little over a month ago, but during that time she has done everything that our program asks in order to see results. As she entered the workout on the day of her consultation she was nervous, thinking she had lost nothing. However, she was in for a surprise because she lost more than she even knew and when we did our other numbers she had an all around ace in the hole so to speak. She didn't make our 8 challenge however did participate and her times were beaten each week out showing her that improvement was being made and progress was taking shape. You see we have monthly consultation in order to see where our clients are in their goal setting. It's a time to find out numbers but more important mental status, meaning how the mind is doing and what positive feedback can be given. It's a time they know that it's just them and the things they say are very confidential. They don't pay extra for this because I feel it is the key to their success in life. As I said fitness is just part of the pie, nutrition plays a great factor in the process too along with soul. You combine this together, throw in positive extras, whip it up and you have yourself a darn good piece of the pie!!
